Overview

The purpose of this job is to maintain an effective collections effort on an assigned group of accounts/loans resulting in fewer delinquent loans and minimizing losses. This position may be a front end or back end collector depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting inbound or outbound collection calls utilizing a predictive dialer, preview or other technology Negotiating payment terms for delinquent accounts and accurately notating the account following departmental procedures Assisting with difficult collection problems such as: payment disputes, alternative payment arrangements, CCC, out of policy extensions, Insurance claims, foreclosure or repossession request, etc. Recognizing problem accounts/loans, alerting management and providing input on a suitable course of action Skip tracing and other specialty queues as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School and/or some college education with 3 or more years of related external collection experience, (2 years internal) working similar consumer or commercial products. Job related experience will be considered. Upper level knowledge and understanding of collection industry standards of practice including a working knowledge of privacy and fair debt collection regulations, bankruptcy, repossession, including replevins, foreclosure and other consumer credit laws affecting collection of debt General knowledge of the lending process from point of application to note documentation General knowledge of credit bureau information and other sources of consumer reporting Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and analytical skills Good judgment Strong negotiating and decision-making skills Strong PC skills Team player and supporter

The recruiter is responsible for the outcomes of the recruitment, retention and evaluation of the hiring process in the organization. Job Function * Actively recruit housekeepers, and other needed personnel. * Calling, contacting interested applicants to keep a pool of applicants to fill open positions, and needed relief for filling in during the absences of employees or for special projects * Utilizing recruiting methods such as foot recruiting, social media, and or internet job sites * Build a network of contacts, associations, memberships, develop social media, and venues or avenues to recruit and retain employees * Develop, execute and update recruiting plans (include, job postings, interviewing, communicating with interested applicants) * Develop and track goals for the recruiting and hiring process * Develop a system (spreadsheet) of organizing and tracking employee applications for easy access when filling positions along with documenting applications that have been used to fill positions. * Develop, and maintain a qualified pool of applicants both internal and external * Partner with managers to determine staffing needs * Serve as the liaison with employment agencies * Match applicants with open requisitions to ensure an effective hiring process * Handle administrative duties of record keeping data for recruiting and retaining * Work with Human Resource Director, General Managers and Division Managers to evaluate applicants and meet position requirements * Create, develop and keep current employee job descriptions * Conduct follow up with employees, managers, and the Human Resource Director to determine effectiveness of recruiting, hiring and retention plans * Perform interviews as needed * Assist in making hiring recommendations * Complete needed reports in a timely manner * Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resources information confidential * Maintains quality service by following organization standards, policies, and procedures * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related goals and improvement of the company * Participates, contributes, and constantly works to improve the process and procedures of the Human Resource Department and ServiceMaster * Completes other duties as requested Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics * Proven Experience in Recruiting and Retaining Employees * Knowledge of Recruiting, retaining and organizing Employees * Experience in Human Resources * Effective Communicator * Strong writing and verbal skills * Analytical Thinker, Problem Solver, Strategic Advisor, and has an Attention to Details * Knowledge of Hiring practices and Hiring Laws * Knowledge of Commercial Cleaning is a plus * Be able to manage, schedule, and plan multiple job tasks and responsibilities * A good Driving Record * Knowledge and application skills in Word and Excel * The ability to learn job related computer programs or employment application sites.
