Goucher College's Collection Services Librarian will report to the College Librarian. This position will provide leadership in developing, assessing, managing, and promoting user-centered, holistic collections to meet the current and emerging information needs of the Goucher community.

They will establish new models of collection/content building and delivery. The Collection Services Librarian will plan, implement, evaluate operations, establish policies and procedures, and set priorities in acquisitions and serials, electronic resources, and data gathering and statistics. They will be expected to plan and monitor expenditures for library resources and related services.

They will manage the Integrated Library System, World Share Management, and serve as the official liaison with OCLC. They will participate in the library's delivery of research and course-related instructional services as needed and serve as liaison to selected academic disciplines and develop subject-focused research LibGuides. The Collection Services Librarian contributes to library-wide planning and promotes cooperation and efficiencies among libraries by serving on committees of regional and statewide academic library consortia.

Qualified candidates will have a Master's Degree in Library Information Studies (MLIS), from an ALA-accredited institution, knowledge of MARC records and current cataloging standards and practices and 1 - 3 years experience.

Preferred candidates will have a second graduate degree; experience using the OCLC WorldShare Management System, particularly the Acquisitions, Collection Manager, and License Manager modules; experience using YBP's GOBI platform.

This position performs technical support for MIA end users by answering technical support telephone calls, logging problem tickets in E-Helpdesk system, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and resolving problems with computers, peripherals and wireless devices. The CISS II will develop new images for MIA workstations, install new images, configure and deploy computers, provide administration and technical support for mobile devices (iPhones and iPad's); create and deploy applications and security patches using server based automated tools (Zenworks); and identify and deploy appropriate security patches to desktop and laptop computers MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. Experience: One year of experience evaluating, implementing and maintaining personal computer hardware and software. Note: 1. Experience responding to and resolving help desk calls from users of computers, or operating computer equipment for the purpose of data entry, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, data base or other applications may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required education. 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Cyber and Information Systems classifications or Cyber and Information Systems specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience. DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate will have experience: * Answering Help Desk calls and providing technical support; * Designing, testing, debugging and maintaining hardware specific Image files using Zenworks Imaging or other Imaging software program. * Installing and configuring peripheral devices (printers, scanners, multi-function copiers, etc). * Configuring and deploying mobile devices (tablets, smartphones). * Creating and administering Active Directory and eDirectory accounts and permissions. * Utilizing Zenworks or other software distribution/patch management tools.
