What you will be doing

Establish effective payment plans with past due and over-limit credit/debit card accounts or to collect dishonored checks through telephone contact and letters. Responsible for routine account maintenance including, but not limited to, skip tracing efforts to locate customers. Collections Associates handle both 1st and 3rd Party collections, while maintaining excellent levels of customer service.

  • Negotiate repayment arrangements and collect dishonored checks and past due or over-limit accounts

  • Responsible for account research, including skip tracing, through the use of online credit bureaus

  • Ability to follow call flow and handle procedures while adapting to conversations using phone skills and techniques learned during training

  • Adhere to all departmental procedures and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)

THIS POSITION IS SCHEDULED TO START ON MONDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2020. MANDATORY TRAINING WILL BE HELD MONDAY - FRIDAY 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (SUBJECT TO CHANGE) FOR FOUR (4) WEEKS BEFORE STARTING YOUR PERMANENT WORKING SCHEDULE. MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK A 40-HOUR WORK WEED DURING OUR HOURS OF OPERATION MONDAY - SATURDAY 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM. SCHEDULE FLEXIBILITY IS A MUST!

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • At least 6+ months customer service or collections experience in a call center environment

  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills

  • Ability to make decisions within specified parameters while working effectively with multiple tasks and situations

Added bonus if you have:

  • Previous collections, loan or banking experience

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree

About the team Our Professional Services teams combine innovative thinking with our unrivaled first-hand industry knowledge to offer our clients consulting expertise, complex technology, package integration and managed services to move their organizations forward. What you will be doing The Professional Services Project Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful end-to-end delivery of customer projects focusing on adoption of our next generation Trade Clearing and Back Office processing platform using a structured and controlled, methodology based, approach. You will have a pragmatic approach to solving problems and the ability to communicate effectively at a senior level with client and internal stakeholders. Projects are likely to include various staff working on different phases of activity in many locations. The ability to manage multiple "moving parts" therefore needs to be balanced with the ability to manage and lead groups and virtual teams of professional staff. Further responsibilities include: * To gain an understanding of the post trade business Middle/Back Office in order to provide the expertise required to execute our projects. * Is able to plan client and coordinate of technology projects from start to completion. * Develops, defines and executes project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables. * Ensure all project staff are aware of the details of tasks assigned to them including start and end dates, effort, budget, responsibilities and any relevant issues. * Interacts with product development, sales, client relationship teams, technology solutions, service delivery and/or other cross-functional teams * Communicate to the client on all aspects of project delivery, status reporting and escalation. * Prepare frequent project status reports outlining project progress for both customer and FIS use. * Prepare and conduct frequent project meetings with the customer and FIS staff both at the project level and the Steering Committee level. * Manages project risks, issues/problems and activity progress to ensure project goals, e.g., deadline, scope and quality are achieved. Assists with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed. * Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, in internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure all project targets and requirements are met. * Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation and ongoing activities to accountable teams and complete a post-implementation review to identify areas of improvement.
