Job Summary:

A Correspondent Specialist is able to use Microsoft Office software with accuracy and efficiency. They are good with numbers and can be trusted with sensitive information. They also have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives. Must be able to work with a team and independently, this is a fast paced and deadline driven environment. Must meet or exceed the company's quality standards in a timely and accurate manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Log in and receive incoming original collateral

Scan and upload closing packages using high speed scanners and scanning software

Maintain File Room of completed closing packages (Including shredding and Bond loan maintenance)

Research and pull closing packages to fix image deficiencies and complete original missing document requests

Scan additional Misc. docs received after closing to ensure full document retention

Prepare reports for Manager and interconnected Departments as requested

Additional duties to include but not limited to assisting collateral team with daily collateral duties

  • Create package labels and package original Notes for shipment to the custodian for review

  • Prepare and review extracted Collateral documents for packaging

  • Research and prep collateral files

  • Return Notes on any canceled correspondent loans

Desired Skills, Experience, or Education:

  • Knowledge of scanning hardware and software preferred but not required

  • Solid understanding of mortgage fundamentals

  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software

  • Trustworthy with attention to detail and borrower confidentiality

  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy. Typical Functions Supervises and coordinates the activities of a small professional staff by interviewing, recommending for hire, making work assignments, and evaluating the performance of incumbents. Administers and scores various educational assessment tests and determines vocational placement of clients by matching clients skills to available jobs. Surveys businesses for available jobs, writes bids for work contracts using federal guidelines and time study surveys, and sets up assembly lines for the disabled based on accepted contract specifications. Contacts employers to discuss effectiveness of job and to observe and correct safety standards. Develops curriculum for vocational programs by determining skills needed for each task to be performed. Maintains documentation concerning clients' behavior, progress, and health problems for annual review and recommends modifications to the clients programs based on progress. Performs other duties as assigned. Special Job Dimensions Occasional in-state travel may be required. Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills Knowledge of vocational job placement and evaluation. Knowledge of bidding procedures and contracts. Knowledge of vocational/industrial safety programs. Ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of others. Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information. Ability to develop, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of vocational programs, job standards, and industrial safety guidelines for the disabled. Ability to research laws, regulations, and standards that apply to the disabled. Minimum Education and/or Experience The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in psychology, vocational education, counseling or a related field; plus three years of experience working with the disabled community or in a related field, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Preferred Qualifications Position Summary The Vocational Rehabilitation Placement Specialist (Business Engagement Representative) will develop, implement and sustain the activities for business services across the North West Arkansas Workforce area. The Business Engagement Representative will develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, industry representatives, and training agencies that will lead to participant career placements and stronger business relationships throughout the Region. This position will focus on the delivery of business services through an integrated, solution oriented approach by a cross functional team. The Business Engagement Representative will promote the goals of the Arkansas Workforce Center by working in partnership with all mandated partners. The Business Engagement Representative will develop new sector partnerships and strengthen existing partnerships to address the workforce needs in the local area and create a talent development system. The Business Engagement Coordinator works under the direct supervision of the Director of Business Engagement or his designee. Education and Professional Work Experience MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in psychology, vocational education, counseling or a related field; plus, three years of experience working with the disabled community or in a related field, including one year in a supervisory or leadership capacity. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor's degree in public administration, general business, technical writing, marketing or a related field plus three years of in managerial capacity in workforce training or a related field; Related or equivalent education or experience may be substituted; Computer literate, with the ability to generate professional documents; and Excellent work ethics and communication skills including self-motivation, and the ability to complete tasks as scheduled. Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop and executes strategic direction and vision for the Business Service Teams in Eastern Arkansas; Provides strategies for job development and placement activities across the Eastern Arkansas area; Develop extensive collaborative relationships with local employers to provide occupational skills training for job seekers; Demonstrates to employers the effectiveness and profitability of utilizing workforce business services; Participates in Chamber of Commerce functions, economic development partnership meeting and other networking activities; Delivers presentations to employer groups and other community based organizations; Reports and tracks business services activities; Schedules and coordinates on-site recruitment and hiring fairs; Coordinates workforce training events, job fairs and employer events; Communicates with other workforce team members regarding business' need for placement services, training services, etc.; Assist workforce team members in recruiting targeted demographic groups to ensure WIOA performance; Assist with special projects, additional grants; and Perform other work related duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.
