OVERVIEW

Lead and coordinator all planning activities related to the master production plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, release and track purchase orders with an established supply base.

  • Manage procurement of inventory items needed to meet production requirements through review of planned order report.

  • Manage purchase order process including negotiation of due dates and pricing with vendors to meet production requirements.

  • Confers with suppliers concerning late, on-time and early deliveries and updating the system with information.

  • Solid analytical skills in forecasting and the ability to evaluate customer requests in comparison to vendor capabilities to generate accurate order lead-times.

  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, customer service, and supervision on incoming order status and production planning.

  • Responsible for the management of inventory levels and the status of incoming material to meet customer delivery requests.

  • Review, firm and release planned orders for Production team.

  • Review and resolve daily internal procurement problems and shortages.

  • Troubleshoot obstacles to allow for successful fulfillment of customer demand.

  • Develop tools, templates and audits as required to manage Sales, Production and Purchase order flow.

  • Resolve material and invoice discrepancies.

  • Support plant daily management reporting.

  • Ensure weekly production schedules satisfactorily comply with the company's production plan and customer delivery dates.

  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 - 3 years experience in production planning · APICS certification desired

  • Dynamics AX experience desired.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics or other related field

  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Previous experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Software a plus.

  • Able to manage difficult situations, respond well to change, meet commitments, focus on resolving conflict, maintain confidentiality and listen to others.

  • Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, respond well to questions, participate in meetings, write clearly and informatively, read and comprehend written information.

  • Demonstrate competency in planning, organization, professionalism and adaptability; prioritizing and planning work activities; use time efficiently, approach others in a tactful manner, easily adaptable to changes in the work environment.
