Cognitive Performance Coach, Lead

Key Role:

Provide subject matter expertise in the areas of psychology, performance psychology, counseling, or kinesiology to conduct research across seven functional areas, including cognitive enhancement and accelerated learning, instructor development and training, tactical training, holistic human performance training, curriculum development technology and software development and research, program evaluation and assessment. Analyze and identify needs and provide viable interventions, including training and performance support. Analyze the development of research procedures. Leverage simulation technology and biofeedback to promote excellence and efficiency during physical, technical, and tactical training, including during the challenges of combat operations or pressure situations. Gather data and compile information into documents regarding sport psychology, including mental and cognitive enhancement training techniques. Provide expertise in the subject matter, including applying industry best practices of operational and functional physical fitness from military and professional sports to the development of training and other technology-based learning solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience with psychology, counseling, or kinesiology, including sport or performance psychology

  • Experience with building statistical models and developing machine learning algorithms

  • Experience with data visualization and programming languages, including Python, R, Scala, or Java

  • Knowledge of mathematical and statistical concepts

  • Secret clearance

  • MA or MS degree

  • Army Performance Expert Certification

  • Certified Consultant with Association for Applied Sports Psychology

Additional Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • PhD degree

  • Graduate of the Army's Master Resilience Training Course

Summary: The Lead HPC Engineer is responsible for overall day-to-day sysadmin support for a scientific research cluster environment. S/he will maintain a highly diverse and dynamic catalog of scientific and research software. S/he will be supporting members of the modeling and statistical teams in areas of chemistry, structural biology, and genomics by providing help with use of the cluster and its software. S/he will ensure high availability of the HPC cluster resources through continued process improvements and optimization of the systems and software. Minimum Qualifications * 6+ years of proven experience as Linux Administrator: Redhat/CentOS preferred. * A college degree in: computer science/engineering OR chemistry/biology, or equivalent experience. * Demonstrated experience or knowledge of high performance computing concepts such as parallel and distributed computing, Message Passing Interface (MPI) programming, grid resource management, and multi-threaded paradigms. * Experience in the building/compiling of third party and open source software. * Advanced knowledge of systems programming and shell scripting with respect to integrating multiple applications. * Knowledge of programming languages: particularly C, Python and Java. * Exceptional problem solving skills, technical skills and analytical skills a must. * Experience with biotech industry standard software such as Schrödinger, OpenEye, MOE, genomic or crystallography applications. * Experience with distributed computing resource management software such as SGE or LSF; familiarity with Univa Grid Engine a plus. * Experience with linux systems hardware and OS installation and configuration. * Familiarity with Cloud based services such as AWS EC2 instancing. * Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be able to adapt to changing business needs. * Experience working in a scientific research environment; commercial or academic. * Must be able to work well with cross functional teams and be able to work effectively with all levels within an organization. * Candidate should be willing to accommodate occasional off-hours support. * Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
