The University Libraries seeks a well-qualified undergraduate student to assist in the facilitation of a coding workshop series targeted to University Park female and gender-diverse Penn State students, faculty, and staff for up to 10 hours a week during the 2019-2020 academic year. This facilitator may be responsible for assisting with the creation and organization of workshop curriculum, facilitating workshop content, delivering workshop content, and assisting with workshop assessment.

Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Python for web development; an interest in the study of gender and minority disparity in information technology fields; excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a collaborative environment. Availability to work Tuesday and Thursday evenings is required. Must be enrolled at University Park campus for 2019-2020 academic year.

Successful candidates will develop and promote collaboration and community amongst faculty innovators, build collaborative relationships with peers, and support faculty research related to teaching and learning innovation through technology. Additionally, this position will contribute to the ongoing advancement of existing university engagements such as the TLT Symposium and actively follow trends in learning technologies and explore technologies that advance learning. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate would have classroom teaching experience, an understanding of teaching with technology, experience working with university faculty, and experience leading workshops or conversations around best practices.
