Primary Responsibilities:

  • Processes attestation sheets and progress notes out of the DataRap work queue according to department guidelines

  • Analyzes progress notes and documentation sent by providers for validation following CMS guidelines and ICD-9 / ICD-10 Coding Manual guidelines and enters final results into appropriate tab of the DataRAP database

  • Performs the minimum number of validations consistent with established departmental goal

  • Provides clear communication, with use of DataRAP application, through query to PCP on documentation not meeting standard as identified by no plan

  • Provides clear communication, with use of DataRAP application, through query to PCP on documentation not meeting standard of basic administrative components to a progress note

  • Ensures accuracy of entry by comparing to outcome of diagnoses on eAttestation post validation entry

  • Associates attestation sheets received into the DataRAP database to provide tracking for all markets

  • Identifies and reports quality concerns and errors to DataRAP Clinical Process Quality Analyst for review and education

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

  • Medical record documentation requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school education (or higher) or equivalent experience

  • Coding certification (CPC or CCS or RHIT or RHIA or CCA)

  • 3 years ICD-9 Coding experience

  • Knowledge in HCC Coding guidelines

  • Technical expertise in ICD-9-CM or ICD-10-CM

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Outpatient Coding experience is preferred

  • Physician's office/hospital experience is preferred

  • Intermediate (or higher) MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to perform in a deadline driven environment

  • Ability to maintain professionalism and a positive service attitude at all times

The Director of ECF CHOICES will assist with the implementation and successful execution of the EFC CHOICES program. A new program that will be a component of the CHOICES program that will allow the state to provide HCBS more cost-effectively in order to service more people with intellectual disabilities and begin servicing people with other developmental disabilities. The Trainer, Employment and Community First will develop training materials and conduct training sessions primarily for ECF CHOICES Support Coordinators and Case Managers. If you are located in Brentwood, TN or middle Tennessee, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities: * Shall be responsible for the development and implementation of all ECF CHOICES staff training requirements, providing ECF CHOICES Support Coordinators and other ECF CHOICES staff with current information on best practices and program enhancements or modifications, and attending meetings as requested by TENNCARE * Responsible for conducting training needs analysis for the Support Coordinators and developing all training materials, communications and activities to meet the organization's job/role requirements. * Conducting ongoing evaluations and assessments to ensure effectiveness of programs and recommending/ implementing modifications as necessary. May work with SMEs to obtain training content. May include design and development of online and web-based training materials. * Develop learning objectives based on appropriate analyses (e.g., business analysis, task analysis, audience analysis) * Engage/collaborate with appropriate stakeholders and SMEs to determine appropriate training content (e.g., products, processes, tools, skills needed) * Develop project plans for design/development of identified solutions (e.g., in-scope/out-of scope elements, timeframes, resources, roles/responsibilities, priorities, cost estimates, feasibility analyses, risks/assumptions) * Develop approach to evaluate achievement of learning objectives (e.g., learning assessments) * Determine applicability/availability of existing training solutions (internal or external), and procure as appropriate * Identify/incorporate appropriate learning activities/exercises needed to enable learners to achieve learning objectives (e.g., delivery timeframes, durations, techniques) * Create high-level organizational structure and scope of training content (e.g., content outlines, storyboards, sequence) * Identify and document resources needed to deliver training solutions (e.g., classroom resources, system resources, supplies) * Develop maintenance plan for training solutions to ensure ongoing applicability/effectiveness of training (e.g., to account for potential changes to organizational structures, systems, processes, procedures) * Document and communicate training design decisions (e.g., design documents, training approaches/blueprints) * Obtain/confirm required licenses/copyright approvals for training materials, as needed Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * 3 years of experience developing training for Support Coordinators or Case Managers who provide support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities * 3 years of experience providing person-centered support coordination to individuals with I/DD receiving LTSS that includes work experience in managed and/or long-term services and supports * Experience creating process flows * Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with Word and PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications: * Management experience and/or advanced degree * Medicaid experience and knowledge * Strong analytical skills * Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills * Ability to balance multiple high priority projects and meet quick deadlines Careers at UnitedHealthcare Medicare & Retirement.
