The Coder I is responsible for evaluating and assigning the appropriate ICD-10, CPT-4, as well as abstract pertinent clinical information for bill preparation for the following patient types: Alliance First Care, Outpatient Testing, OB Observation and Series accounts (which include infusions, injections, transfusions, chemotherapy, and outpatient rehab). This position is also responsible for researching and resolving coding/billing issues, and analyzing the medical record for completeness, consistency, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
