Job Summary
Reviews all pertinent documentation, including but not limited to: Physician documentation, nursing documentation, laboratory and radiology reports, treatment records, and other documentation within the electronic medical record. Select and sequence appropriate diagnostic and procedures codes utilizing ICD-9/ICD-10 CM and/or CPT-4 codes. Ability to charge and/or code the following: Ambulatory surgery coding
ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic codes as well as CPT-4 procedural codes that are not charge master driven; Observation coding
ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic codes as well as CPT-4 procedural codes that are not charge master driven; ER Coding
ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic codes as well as CPT-4 procedural codes that are not charge master driven; Ancillary Coding
ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnostic coders; ER Charging
Charge appropriate procedures in the billing system. (CPT code driven); Observation Charging

Qualifications
Required High School Diploma or equivalent
Required 2 years of relevant coding experience
Certifications
CRT-Coding Specialist (CCS) - AHIMA American Health Information Management Association Upon Hire required Or
CRT-Professional Coder
CRT-Outpatient Coder, Certified (COC) - UNKNOWN Unknown Upon Hire required Or
