About this opportunity:

As a Code Consultant and Fire Protection Engineering Intern at Cosentini, you will have the opportunity to work as an engineer on exciting and challenging projects. You will work with top engineers in the field, gaining expertise and building your reputation and career.

Your role:

• Review and analyze architectural and engineering plans

• Perform detailed engineering calculations to support means of egress and fire protection design

• Prepare life safety, fire protection, and fire alarm drawings in Revit or AutoCAD.

• Perform periodic field observation visits to review construction sites and existing buildings

• Attend meetings with architects, contractors, owners and building managers.

• Support construction administration activities by reviewing submittals and preparing responses to Requests for Information and providing input as needed.

• Performing other duties as assigned

What kind of candidate are we looking for?

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated engineer with an interest in building systems design.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

• Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment.

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software is a plus.
