Midland University, a private, faith based, liberal arts university is seeking a Full Time Code Academy Instructor. The Code Academy Instructor's primary role is delivering code courses in an online format with Midland University's Center for Graduate and Professional Studies.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach the Code Academy curriculum to students live online
Teach one cohort of NE Department of Corrections students online from 8-11am M-F
Adapt and update the curriculum to meet student needs, job readiness expectations, and new technologies
Support Midland teams in scheduling courses and course lengths
Facilitate a Code 101 introductory class on a rolling basis
Assist students with job search preparation
Collaborate with academic and advising teams to address student issues
Key Skills:
Proficiency in core Code Academy topics, coding languages, and platforms, including HTML/CSS/SQL/REACT/JAVASCRIPT or willingness to learn
Experience in teaching and training with the ability to convey complex technical information in an engaging and relevant way
Compensation:
Wages are commensurate with education, experience and individual strengths. Midland
