Job Title: Poultry Farm Worker 2 (Vac Crew) Job Grade: PR02
FLSA Status: Nonexempt Position reports to: QA Facility Supervisor
Location: North Carolina Farms
Schedule: Responsibilities may occasionally require an adjusted work schedule. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, including holidays beginning at 6:00AM (but may be as early as midnight as needed) until job is complete. Typically these positions average 40 hours a week.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and may be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear; and drive a vehicle to and from the job sites. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety goggles, face shield, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required when handling chemicals; ear plugs and ear muffs will be used as needed.
Chemical Commonly Used: Phenolic based disinfectants.
Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments.
Minimum Requirements:
Education: Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.
General Sign Off: The employee is expected to adhere to all company policies. Failure to perform this job to above above standards could lead to progressive discipline up to and including termination. Priority consideration will be provided to internal applicants first. Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred. Qualified applicants must have at least 12 months consecutive work experience with one employer over the past three years with no gaps in employment of over six months. (Exceptions are made for layoffs, attending school, birth of a child, or elder care.) Work history will not apply to applicants when they have been FULL TIME STUDENTS consecutively for the last 36 months.

Starting wage - $17.00/hour
Plus, additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends
