Coax Splicer / Technician
Cannon Construction is looking to add new team members to our OSP Coax Splicing Communications Division. We are looking for qualified applicants with a telecommunications cabling background.
Positions to remain open until filled.
Have a minimum of 2 years direct or related experience in the field
Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check
Have a clean driving record and valid Driver's License
Be willing to travel
Be willing to work flexible hours (days/nights)
Have a positive attitude and be highly motivated
Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve
Understanding and ability to install cable aerial and underground facilities
Proficient in types of coax splicing from active equipment to end of lines
Responsible for the installation, able to balance and sweep 1 Gig system
Operate and update Stealth 6300 Meter, download sweep and provide the documentation of results
Create as-builts of work performed and any additional information or documentation needed
Telecom certifications are a HUGE plus
Ability to read and understand complex prints for coax slicing and equipment installations including powering
Have a desire and ability to support customer needs with strong attention to detail
Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment
Individuals with direct or related job experience are encouraged to apply.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Must have 2 valid forms of ID (driver's license, social security card, birth certificate, passport), we use E-verify to check your right to work in the US
Must have at least 2 verifiable references
Salary is dependent on qualifications
