Coating Supervisor

Summary

The Coating Supervisor directs and manages coating operations with overall responsibilities for safety, production, maintenance, quality, and other production-related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Drive production, review processing schedules and production orders to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements and duty assignments, considering budgetary limitations and time constraints.

• Drive operational excellence and profitability incorporating best practices.

• Guide and develop hourly crew leaders and hourly production associates.

• Review plans and collaborate with engineering and quality to develop new product processes.

• Ensure coating operations and precise controls are maintained.

• Implement cost effective systems.

• Adhere to budget ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets

• Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives

• Incorporate shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel

• Provide direction, development and leadership in a high functioning and quick paced environment.

• Prepare and maintain production reports daily, personnel records and employee disciplinary actions

• Attend meetings with a professional demeanor and able to give production reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Business-related field, preferred but not required

• 3-5 years of related work experience

• Interpersonal skills and time management skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must have proven leadership skills
