Position Description:
A Coating Services and EHS Manager analyzes the work environment(s), coordinates safety audits and inspections, and provides effective and timely solutions to improve safety standards and sustainability practices across multiple sites in North America. Understands the interrelationships within a regulated manufacturing environment to provide strategic direction, guidance, and ownership of emergency preparedness, response coordination, and the management of hazardous materials and waste.
Works to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, develop and implement safety and environmental policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within responsible site(s).
Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Adeptly uses influence and adapts style in delivering messages that relate to a more holistic business view. Frequently advises others on complex matters as they relate to EHS prevention. Held accountable through extended team for delivery of tactical business targets.
The coating services manager will be responsible for all aspects of processing product through the coating area. Duties include supervising the day-to-day activities of personal in the coating area.

Responsibilities:
EHS program manager across all North American production facilities
Manages the Hazardous waste stream and compliance to local and federal laws.
Owner of the Safety Plan, Chemical Hygiene Plan, and Disaster Recovery Plans and all corresponding training documents and materials.
Leader of the Site Safety Committee(s).
Responsible for continuous improvement of EHS protocols within manufacturing operations resulting in a progressive reduction of near misses and injury rates.
Work with Artivion North American sites to ensure a unified approach to EHS strategy.
Develop and manage EHS Training program.
Monitor and Report per Local, State, and Federal mandated reporting requirements.
Exercises judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results consistent with Company Objectives.
Track and Analyze coating process performance.
Study and standardize procedure so improve efficiency of workers.
Provides inputs relating to product development. Coordinates activities of assigned projects with all cross functional departments.
Qualifications:
8 years of EHS experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or 15 years of equivalent EHS experience without a degree
10 years of coating services experience
A master's degree or certifications, such as an Environmental, Health, and Safety Certification, the Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) are a plus
Proven ability to lead, manage, and influence teams, motivate employees to adhere to safety protocols, and implement new policies and procedures effectively
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must
In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations
