Coater Lead

Summary:

The Coater Lead is responsible for maintaining the day to day operations of the Coating Department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assure SMAT Audit is completed daily.

• Assure associates work in a safe manner.

• Report any unsafe conditions.

• Verify all associates present on line; adjust for any absences.

• Verify Housekeeping at start and end of shift.

• Verify Schedule according to Field and Style.

• Inspect turf to ensure production of first quality product:

• Straight seams

• Burning: Assure that the face temperature is not seeing above 180 degree Fahrenheit.

• Make sure PU is applied evenly across the turf. Coat every stitch. Edge is not thick.

• Ensure the turf is not tacky at roll-up.

• Notify Console Operator of problems so they can solve them.

• Monitor Downtime and record

• Assure PLC Downtime tracking is being entered properly.

• Contact Maintenance for Breakdowns

• Enter Maintenance Work orders

• Know where all associates are at all times.

• Enforce Company policy consistently to all associates.

• Represent Management in an appropriate manner

• Treat each associate fairly.

• Assure associates are properly trained according to the WISOP.

• Complete Startup Check Sheet at the beginning of the production run.

• Complete Shutdown Check Sheet at the end of the production run.

• Assure all necessary consumable supplies are inventoried and on hand.

• Coordinate production and repair with shipping to assure that all production rolls are available for shipment on time.

• Any other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Other Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in a similar or related position

• Good communication skills

This position is for our night shift department (7p-7a 3-5 days a week).
