7th Grade Assistant Football Coach

Location: North Lake Middle School and Lake Stevens Middle School

Start Date: 2024 Football Season (approximate dates

  • 09/04/2024 - 10/25/2024)

Salary: $2,372 - $3,581 D.O.E.

Fall Season 2023

Approximate Season Dates: 09/06/2023 - 10/27/2023

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Assist in providing overall supervision for all aspects of the Middle School 7th grade football program including but not limited to: selecting players for the team; maintaining team discipline; maintaining WIAA standards; coaching individual participants in skills necessary to achieve excellence in sport; modeling and encouraging good sportsmanship; explaining eligibility requirements and participation rules to student athletes; providing requested information to the athletics coordinator; maintaining equipment inventory and upkeep; scheduling practices; overseeing safety; recordkeeping as required; overseeing transportation arrangements for team members.

Qualifications:

Successful coaching experience at middle school level; knowledge of past and current rules and strategies; demonstrated skill in program development and evaluation; demonstrated ability to motivate young athletes; demonstrated ability to instruct students in skills of the sport and to help them learn lifelong values of goal-setting, commitment to task, and good sportsmanship in the fact of either victory or defeat; knowledge of WIAA rules and regulations; ability to maintain good working relationships with students, coaches, staff members and patrons; valid first aid/CPR card.
