Where: Action Potential Physical Therapy - Fillmore is an outpatient ortho clinic located in Colorado Springs, CO.

What: Work with us in our spacious private practice spine and sports clinic and some of the worlds most advanced rehabilitation technologies and treatments.

When: We would like to fill this position immediately.

Who: We are in need of a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant.We need someone who wants to become an expert clinician. We want someone who is passionate about helping people. There is the science of therapy and there is the art of therapy. We are seeking someone who can incorporate evidence based practice with the ability to communicate and connect with patients.A community based mentality is a must. New grads are encouraged to apply.

VIEW JOBS 11/10/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-08T00:00 Job Description Job Number: R0024678 Physical Therapist Key Role: Provide evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions and evaluate and treat patients with or without referrals, including the referral of patients to other staff members that fall within their scope of care. Provide musculoskeletal injury care, using approved supplemental clinical privileges, including the ordering of imaging studies, laboratory tests, basic pharmaceuticals, and referrals to specialty providers. Supervise the PT Tech and PT Assistant within their scope of practice and participate in periodic meetings to review the care provided to patients. Identify opportunities for improvement and serve as an adviser to the HPP Manager in matters related to injury prevention, SM, rehabilitation, administrative matters, purchasing of supplies and equipment, and supplemental fiscal requests. Conduct equipment, product, and literature reviews to ensure the HPP stays current with the provision of care. Assist the HPP Manager in developing and maintaining clinical practice guidelines to ensure consistency of care across all HPP facilities. Develop and promulgate training opportunities for the HPP staff to enhance career development, potential for advancement and to further professional expertise. Basic Qualifications: * Experience with performing manual therapy * Ability to meet the physical demands of training with military forces, including hiking over rough terrain and functioning in austere environments * Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including lift loads or weight up to 20 kg. * Ability to obtain a security clearance * MA or MS degree in Physical Therapy * Certification through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) as an OCS or SCS or a certification through the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) as a certified athletic trainer (ATC) * Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association Additional Qualifications: * Experience in working with elite athletes * Secret clearance Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
