We are looking for a Computer Science or Engineering Grad student to join our AI Innovation Group this fall!

This is a specialized team within Hologic's Enterprise Architecture Group, focused on leveraging the potential of Generative AI. Our goal is to cultivate innovation and develop intelligent solutions that contribute to increased efficiency and productivity throughout the company. As an integral component of our technology strategy, we are committed to advancing the application of AI in ways that support our organizational objectives and promote continuous improvement.

Throughout the 6-month co-op you'll have the opportunity to participate in the following:

• Develop and implement generative AI applications using Azure OpenAI services, tailored to enhance business functions within Hologic's IT department

• Craft and refine business prompts and build a prompt library on intranet site

• Collaborate with business partners to understand their needs and integrate AI-driven solutions into existing systems and processes

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Generative AI and apply this knowledge to create innovative tools and applications

• Document development processes, participate in code reviews, and ensure best practices in software development are followed

• Present project progress and outcomes to IT leadership and other stakeholders within the company

We're looking for bright, inquisitive problem solvers who strive to make a difference. Qualifications include the following:

• Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program and have at least one semester remaining to complete after the co-op

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field

• Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in programming with a solid foundation in Python, Java, or C#

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure OpenAI services

• Understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and AI model development

• Works well independently and in a team environment

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and presentation of technical information

• Ability to work onsite at our Marlborough, MA campus. Intern housing, relocation, and housing stipends are not provided.

The hourly pay range for this role is $26 - $35/hr. Compensation is determined by class standing and operational function.
