Under the overall direction of the CNE President & CEO and senior executive team, supports development and oversight of System Patient Access. Responsible for driving the expectations and success of same day access across CNE with an overall strategic and operational plan to obtain success. Develops plans for improved and sustained access across all ambulatory sites, including hospital based, CNEMG, DI, Rehab Services, and other patient care related department. Works collaboratively with CNEMG leadership and practice managers, facilitating access. Sets metrics and measures for all service lines under scope, assuring leadership in all areas are working strategically to meet expectations, as well as facilitating needs to quickly meet the needs of patients and families.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving the expectations and success of same day access across CNE with an overall strategic and operational plan to obtain success.

  • Develops plan for improved and sustained access across all ambulatory sites, including hospital based, CNEMG, DI, Rehab Services, etc

  • Works collaboratively with CNEMG leadership and practice managers, facilitating access.

  • Sets metrics and measures for all service lines under scope, assuring leadership in all areas are working strategically to meet expectations, as well as facilitating needs to quickly meet the needs of patients and families.

  • Works with finance leadership to quantify the opportunity of increased access, leading to larger market share in most profitable areas.

  • Develops ongoing marketing campaign to enhance the CNE brand and market share in conjunction with Marketing/PR.

  • Develops and coordinates the referral development strategy for Care New England with the goal of increasing CNEs market share.

  • Responsible for the strategy and management of the physician relations team and ensuring that the team is working to maximize CNEs strategy for business development.

  • Oversee the CNE customer service program.

  • Works closely with Integra to determine care retention strategy as well as network development strategy.

  • Collaborates with system leadership of Patient engagement/satisfaction to see increase in patient and physician satisfaction in clinical service lines under scope, utilizing point of care, Press Ganey and other surveying methodology as a tool to measure success.

  • Assumes direct and indirect reporting structure of operating unit leadership associated with access.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required

Strong leadership skills and ability. Highly evolved persuasion skills. Strong oral and written communication skills, along with strong planning and organizational skills. In depth knowledge of the current environment in the health care industry. Good problem solver/strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels.

Education

A Masters degree in Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Management or related fields. Minimum of 10 years experience in a hospital or healthcare setting required. Supervisory and/or administrative experience in related area or demonstrated leadership with the ability to plan strategically to meet the needs of the departments required.
