Lock-N-Stitch Inc. is seeking an energetic, positive, customer-oriented, and proactive individual for the position of CNC Tool Cutter & Grinder. The CNC Tool Cutter & Grinder will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC and manual grinding machines to produce precision tools and cutters. This role requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality production and adherence to specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual grinding machines.

• Manufacture precision tools according to specifications.

• Dress grinding wheels as needed.

• Read and understand blueprints.

• Inspect and verify specifications required for First article inspection.

• Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.

• Maintain knowledge of abrasives and metal properties.

• Plan production sequences from job orders.

• Hold tight tolerances and understand raw material and cutting tool geometry.

• Properly use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, and optical comparators.

• Experience with Anca, Walters CNC grinders, center-less grinding, or OD grinding machines.

• Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.

• Maintain knowledge of production and quality control processes.

• Work within tight tolerances under the ISO 9001 quality control program.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical schooling in machine shop practices preferred.

• Preferred experience operating CNC grinding machines.

• Some understanding of grinding processes, tools, and materials.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and organizational skills.

• Strong reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.

• Functional knowledge of common office computer systems and basic working knowledge of electronic media tools (e.g., camera & picture files).

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials.

• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

• May require overtime or shift work depending on production needs.

Successful applicant must be authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship. Hourly pay range is $20 - $23, depending on experience and education. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Eligibility to participate in: the discretionary incentive plan assigned to the level of position upon offer of employment; medical, dental and vision coverage, 401(k) plan and flexible spending accounts, subject to plan terms; Company-paid benefits such as life insurance, short- and long-term disability, subject to applicable waiting periods. Paid time off (PTO) is accrued on a per-pay period basis in accordance with tenure in the Company; a new hire can expect 17 days per year. Twelve (12) Company-paid holidays.
