Position Summary

The CNC Specialist is responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs set-ups on a variety of CNC equipment with a general knowledge of Fanuc and Haas controls

  • Utilizes knowledge of CNC controls to set zero reference points, tool offsets, loads programs,

  • Run production, monitoring parts to ensure accurate high quality parts are made safely and as efficiently

  • Utilize the data collection system to accurately record production activities including time spent, quantity produced, and any rejected parts

  • Programming knowledge a plus

  • Experience with CNC lathes a plus

  • Experience using 3D modeling software (Solidworks preferred) a plus

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints and drawings, basic understanding of GD&T as well as the ability to work from verbal instructions.

  • Must be able to use measuring equipment and gages to ensure produced part meets specification

  • Understanding of safety, quality and continuous improvement expectations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

  • Willingness to work overtime to meet production demands.

  • Ability to effectively interpret data and present as information and respond to questions from engineers and other technical staff

  • Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company

Basic Qualifications (include education and years of experience required)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience
