Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/ Set-up/ Operator to join our team. The right candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Citizen Swiss CNC lathes to manufacture precision components. This individual will have strong technical knowledge of CNC programming, the fundamentals of machining, expertise with part processing techniques, familiarity with metal cutting tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and specifications. This role requires a meticulous individual with an enthusiasm for precision engineering and a dedication to high-quality production.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, technical specifications, quality control documents, and GD&T.

  • Minimum of two years CNC Lathe operation experience-preferably with Citizen brand lathes.

  • Able to lift 40 lbs./18 kgs.

  • Safety and Quality conscious.

  • Problem solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with SAP or similar business software.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and work together as a team member.

  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

  • Proficiency with CAM software for CNC programming (preferably Partmaker).

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering blueprints and specifications to determine machining requirements.

  • Develop CNC programs with or without CAM software such as Partmaker.

  • Set up CNC machines including loading materials, installing cutting tools, and configuring machine parameters.

  • Perform test runs to ensure that CNC programs are accurate and meet quality standards.

  • Optimize machining processes to improve quality, reduce cycle times, cut tooling costs, and simplify set-ups.

  • Observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and adjust as needed.

  • Inspect finished products to validate conformance to quality.

  • Work with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve issues and optimize manufacturing processes.

  • Create and maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling specifications, and machine parameters.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Run daily production, weight count parts, PM CNC equipment, keep a neat and organized work area.

  • Train others on CNC equipment as needed.

Compensation: $32-$36
