CNC Programmer in Savannah, GA

Privately owned, growing metal manufacturing company in Savannah in need of a CNC Programmer. This growing company, who makes premium products used in the Aerospace, Military, and DoD industries, needs a first-class machinist who can program CNCs using g code and CAD/CAM software. The company has a brand new facility and this position is critical to their success.
Salary range: $35.00 $42.00 per hour
Requirements

Five years machining experience

Programming and set-up of CNC machines

Expertise in CAD/CAM software like SolidWorks, Esprit, NX or Mastercam

Expertise in tooling design and selection

Broad knowledge of metrology and GD&T

Understanding of metallurgy

Machine Tool degree or Journeyman card preferred While the focus is programming and machine setup, this person is also responsible for the following:
o creation of work instructions
o creation of job routers (set up sheets)
o tooling and work holding design
o continuous improvement activities (tooling, program updates, etc.)
o First article inspection using all metrology tools
o Machine Operation when required This is a full time, direct hire position; you must be a Machinist to get the job. This is not a contract job, nor a "computer gamer" job. What is an example of a program you improved or tooling you designed that improved a process? What was the run-time improvement or cost savings?

Do you have formal education in machine tool or a journeyman card in machining?
