Plans, develops, writes, revises, documents, tests, implements and controls programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.
Prepares machine/process setup and operating instructions.
Designs and/or manufactures jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions or drawings.
Provides support, training and problem resolution to operations personnel who use computer numerically controlled machines.
Liaises with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection and induction of new repairs.
Monitors performance, conducts feasibility studies and implements process improvements for computer numerically controlled machines.
Prepares technical specifications and cost benefit analysis for procurement of capital equipment. Liaises with management in the procurement process.
Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
Carries out special projects as assigned.Thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering, manufacturing processes, tool design, fabrication methods and processes.
Strong organizational, analytical, oral and written communication skills.
Thorough knowledge of computer aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems.
Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
Working knowledge of related company instructions, company processes, reworks process instructions, original equipment manufacturer manuals and Design Approval Organization manual.
Working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
Regularly required to sit for prolonged periods.
College diploma in manufacturing technology or a related discipline; or equivalent.
Experience using Mastercam and Autodesk Inventor preferred
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident per ITAR regulations.
