CNC Programmer

Staffmark is excited to present a new direct hire opportunity for a CNC Programmer in Bowling Green, OH.

Shift: 1st Shift, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm (4-day work week). Fridays off!

Salary: $45,760 to $62,400 based on experience.

We are searching for a skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The CNC Programmer and Machinist will play a key role in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision machined parts, primarily bushings, according to engineering drawings and specifications.

Required Experience and Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations and tooling requirements.

• Develop CNC programs using G & M codes, and CAM software (e.g., Fusion 360) to machine parts efficiently and accurately.

• Set up CNC machines by installing fixtures, tooling, and workpieces according to job instructions.

• Select and install cutting tools, adjust machine settings, and perform tool offsets to ensure proper machining operations.

• Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances and quality standards.

• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to maintain production efficiency and quality.

• Conduct in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and surface finishes.

• Troubleshoot machining issues and perform corrective actions to resolve tooling or programming errors.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.

• Maintained cleanliness and organization of work area and equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience requires candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent are preferred, along with additional technical education or certification in CNC machining. Demonstrated experience as a CNC Programmer and Machinist in a manufacturing environment is required, showcasing proficiency in programming and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for CNC programming, such as Fusion 360, Mastercam, or similar programs, is highly desirable. A strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tool selection, and machine setup techniques is essential. Candidates should possess the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T symbols accurately. Attention to detail and precision in machining operations and quality inspections is paramount. Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently are necessary. Good communication and teamwork skills are crucial for collaborating with colleagues across departments. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is considered a plus.
