CNC Programmer Machinist

Essential Job Functions*

1.Sets up and programs CNC milling machines using CAMWorks or Solidworks CAM

2.Develops and fabricates prototypes for new products, product builds and engineering improvements using a wide range of materials.

3.Supports manufacturing by reworking and modifying product.

4.Ability to fabricate prototypes with and without engineering drawings.

5.Participates and engages during brainstorming sessions.

6.Is familiar of a variety of manufacturing/production processes.

7.Proven ability to be successful in both a team and self-directed environment.

Employees are expected and encouraged to participate in safety and health program activities including immediately reporting hazards, immediately reporting unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors, wearing required personal protective equipment, and participating in and supporting safety committee activities.

Education & Experience

High school diploma/GED equivalent required and 10+ years' experience in a related field.

Competencies

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must have CAMworks experience or Solidworks CAM experience

• Basic MS Office skills

• Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work from verbal and written instructions.

• Must have positive-team oriented attitude.

• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Operational Equipment

• Uses milling machines, lathes, power saws, hand tools etc. to perform work.

• Preferred to have ability to perform Hot Work tasks i.e. welding, soldering, etc.

Work Environment

• Maintenance: Self-paced, 10 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.

Physical Demands

• Maintenance: Medium

• Very heavy, lifting up to 50 lbs.
