CNC Programmer

JOB SUMMARY: This role will program machine tools for the manufacturing of Power Package units to meet desired requirements for our customers. In addition, the CNC Programmer will provide bill of material requirement related to nested and steel take-offs for current designs.

This role report to the Engineering Manager and will interface with Production and Planning. WHAT JTS OFFERS: A competitive salary with bonus potential.

A fun, fast-paced culture with company events and professional growth opportunities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Use Pronest and SigmaNest to plan and optimized sheet metal usage for manufacturing.

Work with Planning and Production for scheduling of machine setup. Use Diamond Bend for press brake bend profile creation and management. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to laser, plasma, and shear programming.

Troubleshoot design issues and provide feedback to Engineering Prepare bills of materials to estimate steel cost and other materials needed for production. Work efficiently with other departments to ensure products meet safety and quality standards. Perform other job-related responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 1-2 years of relevant experience working with sheet metal nesting software such as Pronest or SigmaNest. 1-2 years of AutoCAD or Solidworks experience related CNC programming. Some experience with Solidworks PDM. Familiarity of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Understanding the forming of sheet metal work and capabilities preferred but not required. Experience with CAD/CAM and CNC machines. Ability to think creatively and devise novel solutions to complex, multi-discipline design problems.

Strong attention to detail. Excellent time management skills, ability to self-motivate. Strong communication skills to work effectively across departments.
