CNC Programmer / Machinist Job

Full time - $52,000-$61,000/yr.
Job Summary:

  • Performs machine setup, operation, and first article inspections
  • On DMG Mori NLX2500 CNC Lathes (preferred but not needed)
  • CNC Programming is a plus
  • MasterCam is a plus
  • Able to troubleshoot maintenance and quality issues on the machine
  • Assists in meeting production schedules
  • Assists in meeting quality requirements
  • Communicates problems and procedural issues
  • Suggests improvements for production and quality
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs machine setup and first article inspection
  • Performs required machine maintenance
  • Assists in training other machinists
  • Ensures production priorities are followed
  • Makes management aware of any quality/production problems
  • Uses microscopes, calipers, micrometers, weights, optical comparators and other inspection devices
  • Verifies accuracy and completeness of all paperwork


  • Minimum HS diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years in a CNC machining environment
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively with all other personnel
  • Ability to follow directions and perform complex duties
  • Good hand and eye coordination
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Good interpersonal skills

We are looking for a CNC Mill Programmer that is seeking an exciting and challenging work environment. Responsible for producing programs for high speed machining centers cutting extremely close tolerances. The position is at Flex Tech Mold. We are looking for someone who demonstrates: * Intense collaboration * Passionate customer focus * Thoughtful, fast, disciplined execution * Tenacious commitment to continuous improvement * Relentless drive to win Here is a glimpse of what you'll do… * Produce 3 and 5 axis programs for various high speed machining centers. * Work closely with CNC specialists to develop fixturing and tooling to efficiently manufacture mold components. * Produce setup sheets, inspection sheets and order tooling needed for programs. * Work in a fast paced team oriented environment to manufacture some of the best plastic injection molds in the industry. Here is some of what you'll need (required)… * Self-motivated and disciplined with the ability to make challenging decisions. * Ability to pay attention to the smallest details and program in a very consistent manner. * Experience with programming 3 axis machining centers; 5 axis experience a plus. * Place tooling orders as needed. * 15 years' experience in the plastic injection mold manufacturing industry preferred. * Must have good communication skills. * Must be willing to work as a member of a team. * Ability to adapt and change to constantly shifting situations and priorities. * We program with Unigraphics/NX 11; we are willing to provide off site training for well qualified candidates.
