STI International, premier manufacturer of 2011 pistols, is currently looking for a CNC operator to support to the fabrication team.

Position Summary:

Produces machined parts by setting-up and operating a CNC machine, while maintaining quality, safety, equipment and supplies.

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, while adhering to all specifications.

  • Maintains specifications by taking measurements, troubleshooting and replacing worn tooling, while adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

  • Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.

  • Insures that work areas are cleaned daily and that all work is accomplished well within all safety parameters.

  • Once proficiency has been reached on a specific operation, be capable and willing to train others.

Education Required:

  • High School graduate with two (2) years of machine shop experience or equivalent trade school training.

Skills:

  • Must possess ability to pay attention to detail and have good judgment.

  • Familiarity with CNC milling and turning machines and associated cutting tools and techniques.

  • Good verbal communication skills.

  • Basic computer skills and an aptitude for working within specific tolerances.

  • Basic knowledge of machining and able to grasp technical concepts.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

The activities listed below are not all inclusive; however, they are indicative of the types of activities normally performed and overseen by the Plant Operations Director:</p> <ul> <li>Schedule work based upon established priorities, budgetary constraints and agreed upon plan of preventative maintenance. </li> <li>Ensure that orders for parts, equipment, selected services and supplies are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.</li> <li>Manages plant operation staff according to existing policies, procedures, budgetary constraints and safe practices.</li> <li>Establish and maintain a quality assurance program whereby appropriate evaluation of products and service is easily discernible. </li> <li>Oversees the inspection of areas within facility to ensure that standards of cleanliness and safety are being maintained according to established policy and regulatory requirements. </li> <li>Selects, trains, and schedules the activities of staff performing a variety of housekeeping activities. </li> <li>Initiates the requisition and issuance of housekeeping supplies; coordinates maintenance repairs. </li> <li>Services as the department fiscal manager. </li> <li>Carries out personnel management activities associated with direct staff supervision, including screening and selection, orientation training and development, performance management, and employee relations functions Performs related duties as requested.</li> <li>Upholds the Organization's ethics and customer service standards. </li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Minimum Work Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li>7-10 years relevant experience in operations, facilities and maintenance work. 3-5 years in a leadership position managing others is required. </li> <li>Ability to read technical blue print information, write policies, management and supervisory skills required. </li> <li>Experience with OSHA, CMS, Joint Commission requirements and standards within a health or hospital environment preferred.</li> </ul><p> <strong>Minimum Education - </strong>High School or equivalent required.
