Job Description

We have an opening for a CNC Mill Programmer/Set-up with a minimum of 3 years experience. Our CNC mills are Milltronics with conversational programming as well as M and G code. This position requires doing your own set ups and programming. Other requirements are full blue print reading, and inspection of own parts. Need to keep machines and work area, both clean and safe. Must be self-motivated, willing to multitask, and display a continued team attitude.

We were established in 1974 with over 50 years of combined manufacturing. B & B Gear manufactures many different parts, general machine parts, gears, splines, shafts and gear blanks, where OD, ID concentricity and parallelism are very important.

The CNC Machine Maintenance Technician will: Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. Make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality. Review production schedule and when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing, changes over equipment to new sizes or performs scheduled maintenance. Test equipment to check operation. Clears jams and sets aside product for inspection and rework. Tries out equipment after repairs, changeovers or extended downtime. Examine, tests, and measures product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using gauges and instruments, and records data on appropriate forms. Checks product for visual defects. Make preventive maintenance check and inspection of assigned equipment, reports findings to supervisor and takes appropriate action. Examines defects and analyzes spoilage causes and, where possible, takes corrective action. Analyzes and records cause of production delays on daily production report. Repair and adjust small machines, e.g. drill presses, punch presses, grinding and buffing heads, riveters, bench power and hand tools to involve replacement of bearings, spindles, electrical switches, etc. Work from drawings, sketches, specifications and instruction manuals Use scale, square, levels, miscellaneous power bench tools, wrenches, carpentry tools, etc. May oil and grease equipment in absence of oiler and greaser. Performs product examination and rework when line is down due to causes beyond mechanic's control.
