CNC Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge? A leading manufacturer of branch connection fittings is looking for technicians to join their team.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the business goals and objectives.

You can go to work within the next two weeks. Pay starts at $27 per hour and it is 1st shift is Monday

  • Friday.


-Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager is responsible for all repairs and maintenance of conventional machinery, N/C machinery, CNC machinery, mechanical equipment and material handling equipment.

  • Troubleshoots and determines cause of failures that occur in all conventional, N/C and CNC machinery including electronic, hydraulic and mechanical failures.

  • Initiates purchase orders for parts for repairs.

  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the preventative maintenance program.

Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM


  • Must have previous Industrial/Manufacturing experience handling both Mechanical and Electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs around a machine shop/manufacturing environment, specifically with CNC Machines. Preferred automation and PLC experience.

  • Must have 3 or more years maintenance mechanical experience working on manual, N/C & CNC equipment.

  • Must be able to read blueprints, hydraulic schematics and schematics.

  • Must possess excellent hydraulic troubleshooting skills.

  • Electrical trouble shooting experience is a plus

  • Preventive Maintenance experience preferred

  • Must be able to operate forklift and lifting devices.

  • Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division for the purpose of material take-offs and fabrication.

Job Summary The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the operation of all plant systems and equipment. Including but not limited to balers, conveyor belts, gearboxes, electrical motors, pulleys, shafts and bearings. This position must respond to all system failures by taking appropriate corrective action by completing or assigning the repairs needed to ensure that systems are operational and are functioning safely and efficiently. This position generally reports to the Plant Maintenance Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. * Performs repairs in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules and OSHA. (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements. * Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PM); diagnose, repair, and rebuild major equipment/components including but not limited to balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, eddy currents, electro-magnetic belts, optical sorters, diverters, compressors, trash compactors, motors, glass breakers, wire tie systems, fans, pumps, forklifts, front-end loaders and building equipment. * Maintains DEI (Daily Equipment Inspections) backlog. * Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and advises Sr. Plant Maintenance Manager if additional work is needed, or cannot be completed within the Standard Repair Times (SRTs). * Inspects the quality of third party repairs and or rebuilds. * Recommends measures to improve production, equipment performance and product quality * Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities. * Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. * Ability to perform under limited supervision. * Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility. * Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Hours Monday-Friday 1:30pm-10pm, Saturdays as needed Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience * Education: High School diploma preferred * Experience: 2 year(s) of relevant work * 2+ years experience diagnosing defects and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles. * Have knowledge of diagnosis and repair of single and three phase electrical systems and electrical control systems. * Experience in welding and fabrication, a plus * Have knowledge of hydraulic systems. * Have knowledge of pneumatic systems, including air compressors. * Safely operates tools and equipment needed during the repair and servicing of equipment.
