CNC Machinist/Programmer

CNC Machinist (Direct Hire) GRAND RAPIDS,MI. Job Description CNC Machinist Mill & Lathe and 5 Axis positions needed.

Current Shift Opening: B shift

• 10 hours M-Th 7:30 pm-6:00 am ($1 shift premium). Training will take place on 1st shift for 30-90 days before moving to Nights. Set up and operate 3 or 5 Axis CNC mills or lathes to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner according to customer process documentation.
  
  Operating multiple pieces of equipment simultaneously. Correctly set up jobs on assigned machines, which involves tool changes. Perform first piece, in-process, and last piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, various gauges, and CMM equipment according to process documentation.
  
  Perform data collection and communication tasks in Job Boss and other applications. Diagnose and correct equipment or tool issues. You will focus on the HMPT department, which makes parts for a defense company.
  
  GD&T, gauging, and measuring are all important aspects in this department. Mills Department: - CNC Machinist- Mill

• DMG Mill (5 axis) Lathe Department: - Citizen Swiss Lathe Grinder Department: - OD/ID Grinding There is NO programming involved by the machinists in the shop; that is handled by the Process Engineers.
