OPK Machining Team 1 - Machinist

Starting wages: $32.40 - $40.50/hr (based on skill level)

Level 3 Pay Rate: $32.40 (includes shift differential)

Level 4 Pay Rate: $37.80 (includes shift differential)

Level 5 Pay Rate: $40.50 (includes shift differential)

We are expanding and have the following openings:

• Weekend PM (Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon 5pm-5am)

Earn up to an additional $100 a month in Attendance Bonus ($1,200 annual value)

Key Result Accountabilities:

• Provide direction, leadership, motivation and training to the Team on all shifts.

• Ensure all associates understand and follow established policies, procedures and work instructions.

• Ensure associates wear the correct PPE and give feedback on safety audits.

• Trains Associates on operations and procedures; assures proper and complete knowledge of such training has been completed and willing to sign off as such.

• Leads set-ups, working with others. Completes the daily Standard Work check-list.

• Responsible for achieving utilization goals, production standards and scrap rates for the cell, plus all shifts.

• Effectively communicate with the Production Supervisor/Manager on any issues or roadblocks.

• Provide continual feedback with the Supervisor/Manager on associate's performance for performance reviews.

• Assists with establishing priorities, problem solving and setting goals within the department. Helps others in the department when needed.

• Ability to perform majority of operations of the department. Fills in for Machinist and Senior Machinist as/when needed.

• Evaluates systems and processes and makes recommendations regarding modification and helps implement.

• Sustain and improve the 5S score to meet or exceed the expectations established for the facility.

• Helps the team to reduce NCR's.

• Leads by example to help enforce policies.

• Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required. Technical or vocational schooling preferred.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to maintain a positive demeanor and cohesive work environment with all associates.

• Ability to use typical inspection equipment.

• Ability to read blueprints and operation sheets.

• Good understanding of shop math.
