CNC Machinist

CNC Machinist Dallas, TX $35-40/Hour, DOE 1st Shift: 7am-3:30pm (Hot weather, 6am start time / overtime available occasionally) We are looking for a machinist who is skilled at programming and operating CNC lathes and mills. The candidate should have a thorough understanding of the methods, programming, and tooling required for machining operations such as for turning, tapering, hole making, milling, and threading.

The candidate must be competent at machine setup, operation, and maintenance. The candidate will use CNC machines for the precision manufacturing of components for complex equipment. Description: Complete fabrication of machined components using CNC mills, lathes and other precision equipment.

Program CNC Mills and lathes. Select necessary items for optimal tooling, feed rates and paths to minimize manufacturing costs. Read and interpret technical drawings, data sheets and specifications.

Use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, gauges and other instruments for precise measurements. Turn rolls and shafts on large swing CNC lathes. Complete machine set-up, operation and maintenance and handle upkeep of the work area in a clean, safe order.

Handle heavy, large or awkward parts manually or with material handling equipment. Enter raw material consumption, machine utilization and labor in the CMMS/ERP software. Qualifications: Associate’s Degree in Machining Technology or Comparable degree preferred – Machining Technology Certificate will be considered with relevant work experience.

Minimum 5 years’ experience operating CNC Mills and Lathes, experience with DMG Mori equipment is preferred. Proficiency programming via G-Code and ability to program via CAM software is a plus. AutoCAD software, Google G-Suite experience is preferred.

Must have good communication and collaboration skills and be willing to work overtime as needed. M1
