Job Description: Principle duties and responsibilities include proven experience with the following: Fabrication, measurement and testing of complex machined components and assemblies.
These parts will integrate with sophisticated electrical and mechanical systems including but not limited to, high-voltage pulsed power systems both conventional and explosive-driven, high-voltage and high-power RF systems, and high-vacuum systems.
Contributes to product development.
Some ability to analyze data but more importantly to work closely with others to understand results of - often - one-shot tests.
May be assisted by and required to train lower level technicians.
Required Skills: 6 or more years relevant experience in electrical and mechanical fabrication.
CNC machining skills required.
Demonstrated capability to perform a broad, diverse range of technical tasks and/or very specific technical tasks in the engineering disciplines.
Ability to provide hands on technical support during research and development phases through demonstration tests.
Capable of giving detailed instructions and expressing technical concepts clearly.
Ability to work with large and small teams, depending on circumstances.
Trade school or technician certificate.
Welding experience Experience with high-voltage pulsed power systems.
Experience with accelerator systems.
Experience with very high power RF systems.
Experience with field testing.
