CNC Machinist & Programmer (First Shift)

Job Description Job Description Aegis is seeking a CNC programmer Contractor to join our clients organization in Morton Grove, IL. This is a 3 month contract. The ideal candidate has the below experience: CNC Programming experience – see below for specific on G&M code. Strong understanding of G&M Code programming – G&M code programming is done at the machine, while CAD/CAM programming is done on a computer. 3-5 years of experience FANUC controls experience – they have primarily FANUC but also some Siemen’s Controls. I’d show someone who is all Siemen’s, however the preference would be a FANUC & Siemen’s person, with FANUC being the priority. Experiencing optimizing CNC Programs – looking at Speeds & Feeds, Tooling, or other areas of a machine cell to ensure they have the machines running as optimally as possible. Nice to have: CAD/CAM experience would be a plus but not a hard & fast requirement. If they knew AutoDesk Fusion it would be the preferred package. Knowledge of Haas, Doosan, Toyoda, or Okuma would be a plus. Would be nice if someone has needed to take old programs from an existing machine and update them onto a new piece of equipment. Day shift, benefits offered (6-2 pm or 7-3 pm)
