CNC Machinist

Medix is seeking 10 skilled CNC Machinists to join our growing team in Orchard Park, NY. This is a 64K square foot, class 8 clean room facility with approx. 73 Swiss CNCs, 3 Wire EDMs, and 5 Milling Machines.

• Sunday; 5PM - 5AM): $28.35/hr Perfect attendance bonus: $100/month ($1,200/year). Starting with 3 weeks vacation, 10 paid holidays. Key Responsibilities:
  
  Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and Swiss machines. Run multiple CNC machines (3) simultaneously, ensuring optimal production efficiency. Change tooling and perform offsets as needed.
  
  Conduct first-piece inspections and calibrate machines to maintain product quality. Read and interpret blueprints to produce parts to exact specifications. Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, Smartscopes, and CMMs for quality assurance.
  
  Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support lean manufacturing principles. Required Qualifications:
  
  Proven experience operating and setting up CNC machines (mills, lathes, Swiss). Proficient in changing tooling and performing offsets; understands feeds, speeds, and basic G-Code. Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, gauges; experience with CMMs, Smartscopes, or vision systems is a plus.
  
  Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to work off shifts as needed to support production demands.
