If you are looking to join a dedicated team and grow your skills, keep reading Your workday will be a mix of collaboration and independent work with readily available support Wage: $ 33 - $ 40 /hour DOE Position Summary The Ulven Aerospace and Precision Solutions (UAPS) CNC Machinist Level 3 is responsible for producing high quality aerospace machined parts per customer specifications by following AS9100 quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge. Set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis mills and CNC vertical machining centers.

Perform basic program edits, such as adjusting speeds and feeds, at the machine. Conduct in-process inspection using a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM). Make machine adjustments to meet part specifications. Develop and implement part fixturing solutions.

Troubleshoot machining-related issues with a focus on quality. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines. Investigate the CAM system for feature measurements or program optimization.

Ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation. Familiarity with common CNC and programming terminology. Able to do basic part programming in Mastercam.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Minimum 3 years of Mill and/or Lathe or similar industry experience, preferred Competency with Fanuc Controls, G & M code, and hand program edits Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous improvement concepts Proficient in AS9100 quality standards Ability to work with limited supervision, with a high level of productivity High School diploma or GED, preferred Knowledge of common CNC and programming terminology. Knowledge of machining precision aluminum castings, a plus Experience with CAM systems and tooling design, preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and interpret technical documents. Knowledge of shop safety practices and procedures. Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment Lifting and/or carry, reach, push/pull heavy objects, equipment, materials, or parts up to 50 lbs., over 75 lbs. with assistance. Regularly required to twist or bend. Repetitively and precisely handle tools, parts, and equipment with hands or fingers.

Frequently bend or stoop to access equipment, and reach overhead, when necessary Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Hand-eye coordination is essential for tasks such as operating machinery, aligning parts, and performing quality checks. Able to hear and verbally communicate effectively with coworkers is crucial for safety and productivity.

The ability to navigate around the manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and react quickly to changing conditions is important. Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods. Occasionally sitting, kneeling, crouching, or crawling depending on the task at hand.

Regularly exposed to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, steam, humidity, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises and vibration. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): This could include safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, as required ensure worker safety.
