CNC MACHINIST position in BURBANK, CA is available through Belcan. In these roles you will be responsible for set-up and operation of either a 5 Axis mill, or Swiss style Lathe. To be considered for these roles you must have previous experience, HS Diploma or GED, Experience with tight GD&T Measurements, and ability to work 2nd Shift, Overtime and Weekends if needed.

Job Duties:

Complete Set-Up and Machining of parts per print/engineering diagram, and complete work order paperwork

Understand work orders, blue prints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters

Validate material used

Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools

Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems

Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards

Minimum Qualifications:

1+ years of experience machining with CNC Mills and/or Lathes; including NTMA Certificate

Knowledge of various inspection equipment i.e. micrometers, calipers, and height gauges;

Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations;

Knowledge of GD&T; Understanding of cutting tool Geometry;

Knowledge of tooling and coordination, Understanding of CNC G Codes

High School Diploma or equivalent

US Citizen or Perm Resident

The CNC Machinist IV produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.
