Position Overview
Our CNC team is responsible for the setup and operation of CNC production equipment, including Haas and DMG. Using standard concepts, practices, and procedures, Machinists produce parts that fully meet all required specifications. You'll also be responsible for minor programming modifications to ensure that productivity and quality goals are achieved. Our second shift team has approximately ten (10) employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that machines are producing quality products by performing in process inspection on machine output
- Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum productivity and adherence to production schedule
- Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
- Set up machines to run parts per print
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are completed
- Maintain and clean machines before or after each shift
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to read a production drawing and determine dimensions and tolerances
- Proficiency in basic math, and use of a calculator
- Ability to use a micrometer, caliper, and scale
- Advanced Manufacturing, or CNC Machining certificate or degree or 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Willingness and availability to train on first shift
- Working knowledge of the English language preferred
Preferred:
- Prior experience operating a CNC
- Ability to read, interpret and modify CNC programs
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
