CNC Machine Operator - Second Shift

We currently seek to fill the role of CNC Machine Operator on second shift (M-TH 4:15 PM to 2:45 AM) to accurately operate various CNC production machines, such as waterjet, Haas gantry mill, Plasma machine, and CNC vertical mills, all while advancing KBC's mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business. Responsibilities Accurately processes parts following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications, while meeting scheduled router hours.

Sets up, adjusts, and efficiently operates machine tools to perform operations requiring close/exact tolerances on products with various dimensions and finish specifications.

Maintains and inspects cutting tools for sharpness and usability. Changes tool offsets to produce parts meeting drawing specifications.

Performs in process inspections to drawing specification.

Reads inspection equipment in both inch and metric increments (calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.). Starts and observes machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance processing and adjusts machine controls as required. Cleans and maintains machine tooling and parts to ensure that equipment is in optimal production condition.

Maintains and edits programs to fine tune process for optimum performance.

Maintains a safe and clean work area and environment. Performs other duties as needed.

Runs multiple machines at the same time when cycle time allows. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read blueprints and plans.

Basic understanding of CNC G&M code a plus. Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action. A high school diploma or equivalent, preference for accredited technical school.

Knowledge of standard tools, materials, methods. Also requires the ability to read blueprints, operate forklift and overhead crane, read measuring instruments, maintain machinery and equipment.
