CNC Machine Operator

Start your new career as a CNC Machine Operator with MAU at GSC Power Division in North Charleston, SC. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, secondary equipment, and more.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED

• Technical degree preferred

• 2+ years of CNC experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 1 year of CNC machine set-up experience

• Mechanically inclined

• Reliable, adaptable, proficient in math, team player, organized, self-motivated, and quality focused

• Familiarity with OKUMA OSP, FANUC, and G-code is preferred

• Ability to lift 35+ pounds regularly

• Understanding of the automotive machine industry is preferred

What You'll Do as a CNC Machine Operator

• Manage production changes

• Machine warm-ups and shutdowns

• Monitor machine runs by ensuring consistent and quality output

• Load raw materials and processed parts into semi-automated machines

• Use precision measuring tools to ensure top-quality output

• Detect and report any machine or parts related issues

• Operate multiple machines in a cell

• Collaborate with and support your colleagues

• Keep workspaces and machines clean and in top-working condition

• Perform other tasks as assigned
