Position Summary and Responsibilities

Description:

Set up and operate C.N.C. lathes, edit programs as needed.

Inspect 1st piece parts.

Debur and clean/polish parts to specifications

Issue stock as needed.

Conduct shop audits on a rotational basis

Keep area neat clean and organized.

Qualifications

Skills and Education Requirements:

Must have a minimum of three years' experience setting up and operating C.N.C. Lathes and other related machine shop equipment.

Required to Debur and polish parts to specifications.

Must have the ability to lift 50lbs consistently.

Must maintain a safe working environment.

Must have basic computer skills.

High School Diploma or equivalent necessary.

Work Environment: Factory environment

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Use of safety glasses

  • Use of steel protective shoes or protective shoe covers

Training Requirements:

  • ERP and Time clock system Overview

  • Teledyne Ethics and Harassment training

  • Hazardous Communications

  • Quality Systems

Position Summary and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Reading of drawings/blueprints, production documentation, complete documentation, maintain high quality workmanship and organizational habits * Preparation and inspection of components for assembly; cleaning, part verification and fit-checks, grit blasting * Cutting, stripping, cleaning, inspection and handling of fiber optic cables in preparation for termination * Terminations of Fiber Optic contacts involving various tools, epoxy procedures, crimping, handling and inspection * Polishing techniques and methods for Fiber Optic contacts, polishing papers, sequence, handling, inspection * Specific optical testing * Oral/Written Communication – Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Records data; Writes clearly and informatively; Able to read and interpret written information.
