The acceptable candidate shall be required to set up and operate CNC gear grinding equipment. Grinding of gear and spline teeth and holding tolerances of between .001"-.0001" on lead, involute and pitch. Ability to run a CNC gear inspection machine along with micrometers, gages and amps. Maintain proper documentation of SPC data and collaborate with management staff and supervisor. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques is helpful. Overtime generally required. 1st piece and in-process inspection of work required.
Job Requirements :
Set-up and operate CNC Gear Grinder to meet production and quality requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
Ability to operate machinery as required
Verify part quantity with the job traveler
Make machine adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
Load and unload machines as per the cycle time noted on the traveler
Assist in determining tooling & fixturing needs
Use inspection methods to determine size changes
Understanding blueprints & travelers
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Required
3-4 years Gear Grinding experience
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Shift/Hours: 1st or 2nd Shift (Afternoon)
