We are ideally looking for people with Citizen or Miyano, Tornos, or Star, Tsugami Machine experience, but will certainly consider other CNC Machines.Position Overview You will be responsible for the part programming of CNC machines, process development, and customer training in an manufacturing environment You will conduct pre-sale activities and reviews including customer visits, machine assessment and recommendations, and part processing recommendations Make accurate cost estimates, write engineering reports, and interpret plans and specifications Interpret part prints, plans and specifications Create time studies and perform first part run off Programming, set up and training of CNC lathes and CNC vertical or horizontal mills (Tornos, Star, Tsugami, Citizen and Miyano ). Setting up CNC programming per customer specifications Provide customer support via phone and travel to customer sites Align and interface bar feed unit Travel required in the US and maybe Internationally as well.Background Profile 5+ experience with CNC machines; Swiss screw machines experience for CNC lathe preferred Citizen / Miyano / Tornos/Star / any Swiss Machine experience helpful Knowledge of Microsoft Office required Excellent and effective communications skills required High School or equivalent; some college courses preferred

Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications meeting customer and quality requirements.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong>: Operate, set-up, and maintain Swiss Style lathes and coordinate the production of parts (Star and Tornos Deco experience a plus)</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Duties:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Machinist Level 1 should meet prerequisites of an Operator Level III.</li> <li>Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to drawing and process control standards.</li> <li>Maintains specifications by observing machining process and operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.</li> <li>Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.</li> <li>Select tools appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work</li> <li>Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures</li> <li>Confirm with numerical control programmers in order to check and ensure that the new programs or machinery will function properly, and that output will meet specifications</li> <li>Confirm with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.</li> <li>Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.</li> <li>Under supervision, interprets programs to determine of sequence of operations and set-up requirements.</li> <li>Independently sets up and operates multi-axis machines with very limited assistance.</li> <li>Performs set-ups, tool change, resetting of tool offsets, and edit minor CNC programs, when necessary.</li> <li>Dis-mantles set-ups and returns tools and fixtures to proper location upon completion of manufacturing runs.</li> <li>Reads blueprints - determines set-up procedure, modifications in the operation of precision grinding machines to produce machine parts according to blueprints, router package, specifications and/or special instructions</li> <li>Checks part for conformance to specification using gages, SPC and shop floor system</li> <li>Recognizes and remedies minor machine malfunctioning and in-process inspections.</li> <li>Reports major discrepancies to Lead or Supervisor.</li> <li>Ensures that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy procedures and meet the quality standards.</li> <li>Regular and predictable attendance required</li> <li>Adjust daily work schedule based on production requirements</li> <li>Any other duty, task and responsibility as assigned or required</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Education:</strong></p> <ul> <li>HS Diploma;
