Under The Delegation And Supervision Of An Rn, Provides Clinical Support With Basic Nursing Care And Patient Monitoring For The General Welfare And Safety Of All Patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to provide direct care to patients under the direct

supervision of licensed personnel and according to their standards of practice.

1 1. Communicates to licensed personnel any changes noticed inn patients condition, or any problems with

treatments or devices.

1 2. Assists with basic patient care including but not inclusive to AM and PM care , vital signs, toileting, I&O,

feeding, activities of daily living, transport of patients throughout hospital, responds to call lights

promptly and provides necessary assistance. Orients patients and families to the unit - sets up

equipment in patient?s rooms to prepare for admissions.

1 4. Maintains clean and orderly patient care, storage, pantry and utility areas.

Performs other duties as assigned or directed to ensure the smooth operation of the department to

provide quality patient care.

Qualifications

EDUCATION :

High school graduate or equivalent

EXPERIENCE :

Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred. Previous behavioral health experience preferred

SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively and document information accurately

Ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a wide variety of individuals

Knowledge of basic medical terminology a plus

Basic computer knowledge is a plus

Ability to move or lift patients and equipment

LICENSURE:

Current RI Nursing Assistant License

Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire

CPI training within 1 yr of employment
