Are you looking to get started or advance your healthcare career? The Green Home, a Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation facility located in Wellsboro, PA is currently seeking Nurse Aide Trainees (NA Trainees) to join our team! This is a paid training and UPMC will cover the costs associated with becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

We are now accepting applications for our CNA Training course to be held at The Green Home in March 2022.

This is a paid 16-day training program. Students will be hired as NA Trainees while attending the training.

Upon successful completion of the training candidates will complete a four (4) week orientation at their hired location. NA Trainees will move into CNA positions after completing the training and successfully passing the CNA assessment.

Qualifications
Educational/Knowledge Requirements for a CNA/NA Trainee:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Successful completion of nursing assistant training program.
Knowledge of body mechanics and transfer techniques.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
May in the course of their job duties be in rooms where medications are stored. No contact with medications is allowed. In the course of duties may be asked to distribute medications to the nurse at the bedside. Access to medications is limited to the distribution of the medication to the nurse.

Licensure/Certification:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Basic Life Support
Act 34 Criminal Clearance
Older Adult Protective Service Act
Act 14

This is a full time position, which requires call rotation and one weekend per month. The Clinician Fellow is a highly developed role model of professional nursing practice with focused expertise and accountabilities in one or more of the following: expert clinical practice, teaching/development, and/or evidence based practice. This role partners with management in the achievement of a culture of excellence in professional nursing practice and patient care. The Clinician Fellow, under the direction of the Director of Nursing assists in the completion of employee evaluations, selection and hiring of staff, and in performance management. The Clinician Fellow has the authority, responsibility, and shift accountability for the delivery of nursing care through the use of the nursing process. The Clinician Fellow, in collaboration with other health care professionals, applies superior clinical knowledge and skills to achieve quality patient care outcomes. The Clinician Fellow is responsible for providing service-based education and clinical expertise for staff including orientation and training, consultation on practice issues and general coordination of clinical activities on a shift basis. They must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to provide care that is relevant to patients under their care, as well as apply principles of growth and development over the life span. The Clinician Fellow also must possess the ability to assess and interpret patient data needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs. The Clinician Fellow demonstrates a commitment to the community and to the nursing profession.
