CNA (Patient Care Technician)-Observation Unit (Part time Nights)

Patient Care Technician

Position Highlights:

CNAs on this unit will complete duties similar to medical surgical units. They obtain vital signs, blood glucose, transport patients to procedures, walk patients in the hallway, assist with discharging patients to the entrance, stocking rooms and caring for patients after surgery.

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.

  • High school education or equivalent required.

  • Completion of a certified nursing assistant program, currently enrolled as a student pursuing a nursing degree, or experience in direct patient care required.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct patient care experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Shift: Third Shift (United States of America) CNA (Patient Care Technician)-Cardiac Cath Lab (Full Time) Patient Care Tech Position Highlights: This position offers a unique opportunity to work on a dynamic team that participates in the care of patients undergoing cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. Some of these procedures include routine, diagnostic heart caths to interventional procedures including STEMI. Other procedures include cardiac biopsies to structural procedures including TAVR and Watchman.
